Monthly Update

The 21st Update CW: 176.6

It’s been a rocky couple of weeks. I sat at 177.2 for a number of days at the beginning of the month (starting Nov 3rd). I sat there, then started to inch up a little. During my period, I jumped one day to 181+, and the rest of the week stayed between 178 & 179. It’s been back down for the past couple days, with period gone and things like that, I feel better.

It’s weird that it’s such the same number though, that’s a new thing for me.

At any rate, it’s the 17th, so it’s update time:

October: 183
November: 176.6

Loss: 6.4 lbs

That’s a lot for feeling unsuccessful for the past 2 weeks. It was mostly in two big weird drops. I know I’ve said this before, but it’s hard to see the big things when you’re looking at it daily. But 6 pounds in one month is 6 pounds in one month, and that’s nothing to sneeze out.

Note to Self: 6 pounds in a month is very successful. Don’t hate.

I’m calling it official!

I know weight fluctuates, so I have a hard time calling my goals official until it’s been a couple days…

But 3 of the past 4 days have been under 200. (the 2nd day was like 200.2), so after yesterday’s excitement of being back down and then today at 199.2, I’m calling it for real.

I never want to see that blasted “2” again.

Does getting your ego inflated by getting pursued and followed to second bar and then around that bar equate to losing weight?
Because I think the above picture might show some correlation.
And I may still be a little drunk… hmmmmm

Maybe after 3 glasses of wine

and 11p at night isn’t the best time to take my measurements, but whatever I did them anyway. It’s going to be screwy, because I missed the mid-month last month, so we’re just talking since July 1st, so when things aren’t different, that’s why. I don’t go out to the .25 inch or less, I’m working in .5 inches, rounding down (or even up!!), so maybe it changed a bit, but not enough for me to record.

Updates

So it may be far from the 17th of June, but better late than never? So I did my measurements this morning and updated my monthly numbers as you can see here and here

Sometimes it’s good to see the weight in monthly progress, because when I weigh myself daily (or almost daily) (or multiple times a day) it can be easy to get caught up in a single pound or that little stuff, which I know changes, etc. So like this week, as I said yesterday, my weigh-in was on the high side of weigh-ins for the week. But put it into the monthly scheme and I’ve still lost over 6 pounds since mid May. 

I know 6 pounds isn’t a great month, but you know what? It’s the right direction. And considering I had college friends in town for 5 days and then I went home/DC for vacation for 9 days, I think a net loss of 6 is pretty damn good.

And I’ve shrunk in most of my measurements. Arms/Neck were the same and some only changed by less than an inch. But I lost multiple inches in my waist & hips. I’ll take that

It’s been three days now

And the scale hasn’t gone up yet… so I’m going to say it.

I’ve lost 50 pounds!

That’s a lot of extra fat to be gone. [remember this lovely depiction of fat]

And to celebrate I’m wearing a new cute jacket in the disgusting rainy weather that is Colorado today exhausted and overworked.

Weigh In Monday

Official WW Weigh-in today: 214.2

Holy crap I’m getting so close to 209 (which is my *fifty* pound marker). I was hoping to be there sometime this week for my invasion this weekend, but I had a rough couple of weeks where I wasn’t doing everything I could, nor did I have a huge drive to. I wasn’t too awful, but I just lost about a half a pound a week instead of multiples. And that happens, and I’m back at it with a good loss (even though my scale at home said 213.6 — shhh).

But I feel good about this and I know I’m going back in the right direction!

But I will have lost these next 5 pounds by the time my plane takes off towards the east coast on June 15th. I am going home for the first time August and seeing my best friend for the first time since Christmas 2008 and other friends I haven’t seen since graduation in May 2008. And I will be past my 50 lb marker.
